Chapter Ten The Third Person
Dazhuang's flashlight suddenly went out for some reason. E3 is better looking than E3GHK
"What the f**k is going on? It was fine when I came! ” Da Zhuang patted the flashlight, but it still didn't respond at all, just like it was broken.
"Is your flashlight out of battery or is it broken?" I said.
"Ah, damn it, maybe the battery's dead. I was thinking of replacing it when I got here, how could I have forgotten?" Da Zhuang muttered to himself, slapping his flashlight.
"Little Ke comrade, you wait here for me. I'll go change shifts and then head to the duty room. This damn brain of mine."
The place where I am now is not far from the duty room, and it takes only two minutes to go back and forth. The ghost is in the depths of the corridor, and it won't bump into Da Zhuang. I nodded "You go, I'll wait for you here, hurry up."
Dazhuang nodded and walked towards the duty room, rubbing his eyes. This hospital is really strange, no matter which hospital corridor has very bright lights, it won't be as dark as this one. They say that the country doesn't allocate funds to replace the hospital's equipment, but that's impossible. The country is very generous with these medical institutions, even village hospitals have been allocated some funds. How could such an important mental health institution not receive any funding? It's really strange.
Suddenly, I heard a very faint strange noise. Although the weird sound was very small, it was still heard clearly by me, and the sound came from the direction of the duty room. I worried that something had happened to Da Zuo, so I turned my head to look in the direction of the 'dang dang' sound, but found nothing unusual. Holding the lamp, I walked towards the duty room.
The location I am in is not far from the duty room, and the entire corridor is very dark, giving people a feeling of being bottomless. I walked straight to the duty room, and the strange sound that had been loud before was gone. I shouted softly towards the front, but didn't get any response, which made me feel anxious.
Nothing will happen, right? That was my first reaction, and I quickly walked towards the duty room.
I came to the duty room door, and the door was wide open. The door creaked back and forth slowly, making a "creak, creak" sound. I pulled on the long cord to turn on the light, but no matter how hard I pulled, the light just wouldn't turn on.
It's strange, before Da Zuo and I ran out of the corridor to chase that ghost, the lights were still working properly. But now, no matter how hard we try, the lights just won't turn on. At this moment, I'm extremely puzzled, but what's most important is Da Zuo - I don't have any mind to think about this matter at all.
I put the oil lamp on the office desk, with the help of the oil lamp's light, every corner of the duty room can be seen clearly. I originally thought that Da Zhuang was playing a joke on me, hiding in the duty room and not making any noise to scare me. However, when I saw the whole duty room clearly, I didn't find Da Zhuang's figure.
I was pacing back and forth in the duty room, wondering where Da Zhuang might have gone. As I walked, it seemed like I kicked something, so I looked down and saw that it was the flashlight that Da Zhuang had been holding earlier. Seeing the flashlight lying on the ground made me worry about Da Zhuang a bit.
It's pitch black, anyone would hold onto something that can produce light, let alone in a hospital with unclean spirits like ghosts. Thinking about this, I couldn't help but feel that Dawei must have encountered some kind of danger. Having been with Dawei for so many years, I understand him, he's not someone who fears death, yet now he's suddenly gone missing without a word, which makes me feel extremely strange.
At that moment, I carried the oil lamp and walked out of the duty room. The hospital's gate was tightly locked at this time. When the doctor just took two nurses out, Da Zhuang and I closed and locked the gate, and no one could enter from outside.
Da Zhuang's sudden disappearance made me feel a bit apprehensive. That ghost had always been lurking in the depths of the corridor, and it was impossible for it to reach the duty room. Moreover, that ghost would always make that eerie 'creaking' sound wherever it went. Da Zhuang wouldn't just disappear without reason as a joke, not even taking his flashlight with him. Besides, Da Zhuang knew what was going on, he wasn't someone who didn't know what's at stake.
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but have an idea - there must be a third person in this hospital.
And that third person must be no good, otherwise Da Zhuang wouldn't have gone missing for no reason.
With this idea, I couldn't help but feel a little uneasy in my heart. According to the situation, it was as if there were fierce tigers in front and venomous snakes behind, with ghosts lurking deep within the hospital, and an unknown third person hiding in the shadows. As for me, I was the only one on the surface, but if the hospital really had a third person besides me and Da Zhang, heaven knows when that person would stab me in the back.
Thinking of this, I inserted the dagger that Da Zhuang had placed in my hand but hadn't taken out into my shoe and hid it with my pant leg, and removed the black cloth wrapped around the iron rod.
Damn it, since you're hiding in the dark and I'm in the light, I'll take you to that ghost thing's face. Thinking of this, I gritted my teeth and walked step by step towards the depths of the corridor. At this time, the creepy 'creaking' sound had become very small, indicating that the ghost was already quite far away from me. Unconsciously, I quickened my pace and also cautiously observed the surroundings. If that person approached me, there would definitely be a sound, unless he's a damn ghost. If that's the case, I can only blame myself for being unlucky and going to report to Grandpa ahead of time.
