Volume 1 Chapter 50 Qian Kun Scripture
I don't know what Master Hui Zhi said to my master, Zhu Shan Lao Dao, because he didn't tell me. However, I vaguely felt that after listening to Master Hui Zhi's words, my master Zhu Shan Lao Dao's face immediately turned somewhat unpleasant. In other words, what Master Hui Zhi told my master Zhu Shan Lao Dao was probably not good news.
After finishing the Buddhist ceremony, Master Hui Zhi left. After Master Hui Zhi's departure, my master, Zhang Shan Lao Dao, told me that he had to go out for a few days. Since I have school, he promised my mom not to affect my studies, so this time he couldn't take me with him.
At the same time, my master also told me that during his absence for these few days, I couldn't go back home and had to return to Zhushan Temple immediately after school. Also, the Qiankun Jade on my neck, I must not take it off.
I don't know why my master said this to me before he left. However, I can feel that what Master Zhushan said to me was heartfelt and not meant to scare me or spoken casually.
Although my master, Bamboo Mountain Taoist, didn't say it explicitly, I still heard it from his words that in the following days, I might encounter something.
After my master, the old Taoist of Bamboo Mountain, left, I didn't feel out of place either. When it was time to go to school, I went to school; when it was time to go home, I went home. Anyway, even if my master were at the Bamboo Mountain Temple, it would still be Mrs. Zhang who cooked for me.
So, in life, whether my Shifu Zhu Shan Lao Dao goes out or not has no impact on me. In fact, deep down inside, I actually hope that he will go out. As long as he leaves, there won't be anyone controlling me anymore, and I'll be free to do whatever I want.
However, on the first day after my master, Zhangshan Lao Dao, left, I was still very obedient and returned to Zhangshan Temple immediately after school. The reason why I was so obedient was that my master's last words of entrustment before he left made me a little scared.
By the time school let out on the second day, my master Zhangshan Lao had been gone for two days. During these two days, nothing strange happened. It was at this moment that I suddenly had a thought of my own: before leaving, my master Zhangshan Lao must have intentionally tried to scare me. My master Zhangshan Lao's purpose in scaring me was to make me return to the Zhangshan Temple obediently after school and not run around outside.
This little kid's playful heart has always been very big, after I knew that my master, the old Taoist of Bamboo Mountain, was just scaring me, I felt that there was no danger, and then the playful nature came up.
No, that day after school, I didn't go to Zhushan Temple obediently, but instead went with Xiaosan and the others to catch crabs in the river ditch.
Xiao San and I are in the same year, also living in Shi Ma Village, and we are still in the same class, so he and I often play together.
Our school day ends at 4:30 pm, after school, the four of us went to a small ditch beside the school. The four people included me and Xiao San, as well as Li Qiang and Huang Erwa from the neighboring village.
The kids were having a great time, and by the time we finished catching crabs and left, it was already getting dark. Actually, if Huang Erwa's mom hadn't come looking for us, I reckon we would have continued to cause trouble in the small river valley for a while longer.
Because I lived in a village, on the way, Huang Erwa's mother took Huang Erwa and Li Qiang away together. Because I had to return to Zhushan Temple, and Xiao San was not on the same road, I could only part ways with him.
As I walked to the foot of Zhushan Mountain, a small bamboo forest suddenly caught my attention. Just then, the wind started blowing, rustling loudly and lifting up all the withered yellow bamboo leaves that had fallen on the ground.
Those bamboo leaves were blown up and flew towards my face like a detached arrow. Although they were just bamboo leaves, they couldn't hurt me, but when those bamboo leaves hit my face, it still stung a bit.
Facing those constantly flying bamboo leaves that slap me in the face, I have no way to fight back. The only thing I can do is cover my face and run forward.
Just as I had taken two steps forward, I kicked the broken bamboo lying horizontally on the ground with one foot, and then fell to the ground with a thud.
After falling down, my first reaction was to touch the Qian Kun Jade pendant on my neck. Fortunately, the Qian Kun Jade was still on my neck and hadn't been lost.
At this time, I remembered the "Qian Kun Jing" that my master, Zhang Shan Lao Dao, had given me. The "Qian Kun Jing" was used to activate the Qian Kun jade on my neck, so my master forced me to memorize it. In my opinion, the "Qian Kun Jing" was written in a confusing and disorderly manner, not only was the tone inconsistent, but also the words did not convey the intended meaning.
Anyway, under the coercion and temptation of my master Zhu Shan Lao Dao, I finally memorized that Qian Kun Jing. However, what I memorized was only the sentences of Qian Kun Jing, as for the tone of reciting the scripture, and the ups and downs of my master Zhu Shan Lao Dao's recitation, I couldn't learn them.
At this point, I have no other choice but to use Zhuge Liang as a living doctor.
I sat cross-legged on the ground, imitating my master, Patriarch Bamboo Mountain. I then began to recite the "Qian Kun Jing". Because I had promised my master that I would not casually spread any scriptures he taught me, I apologize but cannot write out the text of the "Qian Kun Jing" here.
However, when I was reciting the "Qian Kun Jing", I didn't have a bit of a Taoist appearance. I just felt that my recitation looked very much like a primary school student reciting their lessons. If you say that at that time I was indeed a primary school student and not a Taoist, so it's understandable to turn the Taoist reciting scriptures into something similar to a primary school student reciting their lessons.
No matter what, the text I memorized seems to have some use. After I finished reciting the "Qian Kun Jing", the wind in the small bamboo forest slowly subsided, and the bamboo leaves that were slapping my face no longer slapped me, but instead lay quietly on the ground.
Because the wind had not completely stopped, I did not dare to be careless and recited the "Qian Kun Jing" again. After finishing this recitation, the wind almost completely stopped.
However, to be more secure, I recited the "Qian Kun Jing" again. After finishing the recitation, the entire small bamboo forest was completely quiet, and there was not even a hint of wind.
The wind has stopped, and that dirty thing should have been driven away by me. I'm afraid it will come back again. So I didn't dare to think much, and I ran forward with my legs. I know, I don't have a single bit of magic power now, and I haven't even learned a little bit of Master Zhushan's skills.
This time, I was able to drive away that filthy thing, not because of any great skill on my part, but because of the piece of Kunlun jade hanging from my neck.
It wasn't until then that I finally understood a bit. Chanting scriptures isn't as simple as it seems. I could feel that if the filthy thing from earlier was any stronger, with my current level of chanting, I wouldn't have been able to drive it away at all.
No matter what, I can't stay on the road any longer, I have to run faster. As long as I can run back to Zhushan Temple, I'll be safe.
My master was in the Zhushan Temple before leaving, I saw him paste a few talismans in the temple. At that time, my master, the old Taoist of Zhushan, told me that the talismans he pasted were temple-quieting talismans, which could be effective for seven days. In other words, within seven days, any filthy things cannot enter the Zhushan Temple.
My master warned me before he left that after school, I must rush back to Zhushan Temple immediately, because those dirty things dare not come out before sunset. As long as I can rush back to Zhushan Temple before sunset, even the most powerful dirty things will not be able to hurt me.
Just now while playing, the warnings given to me by Master Zhushan Lao Dao were all thrown into the back of my mind. However, after experiencing that strange gust of wind in the small bamboo forest just now, I remembered them all again.
I've learned my lesson from that filthy thing, so I naturally wouldn't dare disobey Master Zhangshan's words again. Since becoming Master Zhangshan's disciple, I've had two experiences of not listening to him: once was when I went swimming in the river and picked the Qiankun Jade, and this time is the second. Unfortunately, both times, just as Master Zhangshan predicted, I encountered filthy things.
