Chapter 1: The Strange Occurrence on Guardian Spirit Night
Ling Shan hurried over in her high heels, looking flustered and bewildered by the scene before her.
"What's going on?" I asked her in confusion.
She looked around, then got down on the ground to check under her car. After confirming that there was nothing, she swore and cursed at me, saying: "Little fairy, I didn't lie to you, I absolutely hit someone just now!"
"Have you gone flower-eyed?" I propped up my chin with one hand, feeling puzzled. Ling Shuang was usually a very steady driver and not the type to get into such a mess.
And I just felt on the bus that the body of the car obviously hit something, but now in front of the car, there is nothing.
I rushed over to take a closer look at the car cover, and as it turned out, there was nothing unusual about it either.
This is getting out of hand!
I felt a bit uneasy in my heart, but still put on a relieved expression and said: "It's better not to hit anyone than to hit someone! Do you want to really hit someone? Let's go, let's go!"
It's rush hour now, the intersection is almost blocked because of us, if we don't leave, the big driver behind will probably come and scold us!
Lingshan followed with a puzzled face and suggested with some fear: "Or, little fairy, why don't you drive? You've got your driver's license, haven't you?"
I did get a driver's license last summer vacation, but I haven't driven much since then and it feels a bit rusty.
But seeing her like this now, I still agreed without hesitation. At worst, I'll just drive slower!
The car got back on the road, and it was also relatively duller than before. I knew Ling Shan must still be thinking about what happened earlier, so to focus on driving, I didn't dare talk to her either.
We finally arrived at the restaurant where our classmates were having dinner, and we walked in one after another. She stopped at the elevator door and said: "No way, Xiaoxian, I'm sure I bumped into someone just now, it was a woman, I really saw her!"
I don't know why she kept bothering about this issue, so I casually replied: "Isn't there nothing in front of the car? What's the point of being entangled?"
"I found it strange, I could even see what she was wearing clearly, how is it possible that there was no one later?"
I pressed the elevator button and looked at her serious expression, she must have really seen it clearly!
"You said you hit a woman? What was she wearing?"
She scratched her forehead with her hand and said affirmatively, "It's a deep blue work suit, that kind of uniform I must have seen somewhere... Let me think, ah yes! The salesgirls at the Dior perfume counter all wear those suits. Do you remember when we went shopping last time? You even said their suits looked good!"
At this moment, my whole body stiffened. Ji Fanxi - wasn't that the brand of perfume I bought for her today!
The woman she bumped into, wouldn't be that female ghost, would it?
I eagerly asked her: "What does that woman look like? What hairstyle?"
"Tall and slender, big eyes, quite pretty, black long hair, tied up on top of the head..."
I didn't say anything after hearing it, and walked into the elevator with a sullen face. Ling Shan followed in without noticing the gloom on my face, and only whispered: "This matter is really too bizarre!"
To be honest, this matter is nothing compared to what I've been through.
Since I returned from Baishan Town, I have never told anyone else about my experience. Ling Shan is my best friend and I used to tell her all my troubles.
Now if I tell her that what she just bumped into wasn't a person but a ghost, she'll definitely be scared to death!
But after hesitating for a moment, I still asked her in a low voice: "Ling Shan, do you believe that there are ghosts in this world?"
