Chapter 63: Hijacking

  Chapter 63: Hijacking

I was stunned by the sudden change in front of me, and Ji Lian quickly supported Zhou Yin, picked her up with one hand, and rushed out quickly. "Liang Pei, come out quickly and bring the door."

I hastily limped out after him.

As soon as he got into the car, he immediately put Qiu Yunxin in the back seat and said, "Liang Pei, drive away, Yunxin has been poisoned. If you get too close to her, you'll also be in danger. Hurry home and wait for me to come back."

Qiu Yunxin looked like she was about to collapse, and I knew we couldn't delay any further, so I nodded obediently.

The two of them left, and I slowly walked out, hailed a car, and when I got back to the building, as I was walking into the elevator, I kept feeling like someone was watching me from behind, but I couldn't quite put my finger on who it was.

Although I was somewhat perplexed, I still went upstairs.

Before I even reached the elevator entrance, I felt a chill outside, but I still forced myself to go out. However, as soon as the door opened, two people came in, both wearing hats with lowered brims that obscured their faces. I immediately became vigilant, but before I could react, one of them quickly approached and grabbed my arms.

I was just about to shout for help, when another one came over, stretched out his hand and covered my mouth with a damp towel. In an instant, everything in front of me became blurry, and the next thing I knew, I fell into the arms of the person behind me.

When I woke up, I didn't know how long had passed either.

I opened my eyes and took a look, suddenly being scared by the familiar environment in front of me! It turned out to be my home and Sun Wen's home.

I lay on our marital bed, with a large wedding photo hanging above the headboard, showing Sun Wen and me smiling towards the sunlight together.

But now, this warm and cozy environment didn't bring me any comfortable feeling, I got goosebumps all over!

Sun Wen indeed walked in from outside.

His face was cold and calm as he walked slowly to the bedside, sat down, and looked at me.

"Good...good..." Sun Wen finally spoke up, his voice hoarse. I glanced at him and saw that his stubble had grown all over his face, making him look both haggard and gaunt.

I couldn't help but feel a little heartbroken, and almost forgot how I was brought back.

"How did you end up like this?"

"What have I become?" Sun Wen asked wearily.

"Sun Wen, don't be like this, you should be spirited and vigorous. Don't decline because of me personally. I'm not worth it." I said with a heart full of guilt.

"Who says you're worthless? You are my wife, and now that I've lost you, it's my responsibility."

"Sun Wen!" I stopped him in time, and suddenly remembered something, and asked again, "Why am I here? Those two men who caught me..."

"I didn't know who they were, I... just happened to be in that neighborhood, wanting to see how you're doing, and then I encountered someone kidnapping you, so... I rescued you."

I looked at him with suspicion, but in my heart I thought, could there be such a coincidence? And... the fake corpse of Ji Lian... if it was his deliberate arrangement, then isn't he related to the poisoning incident!

I feel like I can no longer see through all sorts of fog, who is good and who is bad, I completely can't tell anymore.

The Sun Wen in front of him has almost no sharpness and energy, looking like a decadent man who is spiritually unwell due to family failure and marital failure.
