Chapter 12 Someone Has Been Here

  Yin and Yang Lovers

Jielan prepared for me my first candlelight dinner since I grew up. We both had some red wine.

"Stay tonight, okay?" Ji Luan whispered in my ear, softly blowing air.

"Okay." I didn't know how to refuse him and I didn't want to refuse either.

"This is a birthday gift for you, all of which I earned myself. Not given by my family. Do you like it?" Ji Luan said with a smile.

My tears flowed out again, "I like it."

He gave me all of himself.

Although he is a rich second generation, he doesn't have those annoying habits and can work so hard to give me a future, a real future.

"He seemed to understand all that I was thinking in my heart, 'What are you thinking? From now on, everything of mine is yours. I am also yours.'"

I'm no longer waiting for anything, I know how happy it is to love him and be loved by him. I wrapped my arms around his strong waist.

We exchanged vows under candlelight, promising each other for a lifetime.

Thinking of this, my tears flowed down again. I smoothed out my hair, grabbed the keys that were on the table and was about to leave. If I stay here any longer, I'm afraid I'll recall even more! I couldn't bear such memories anymore.

I rushed out of the room door and suddenly thought of something, slowed down my pace and returned to the room.

I walked over to the table where I had just put the key, and in the photo was the only one of me and Jilan together - I hadn't burned it because I really couldn't bear to.

But I have already turned this photo over on the table for more than a year.

After covering it on the table, I never opened it again. But now that photo frame is standing upright on the table! The couple in the frame are looking out at the world with a sweet gaze!

I looked around in all directions and then walked out of the room into the living room, where I finally found that a storage box under the coffee table had also been opened.

That's where Ji and I put some small trinkets. Inside, there are the autographs we asked for in Thailand, the chips we brought back from Las Vegas, and the jade bangles we brought back from Yunnan, all sorts of little memories.

It's been turned over in there, I'm sure of it!

I quickly searched around the house for a week and couldn't find anything else unusual, but I could feel that someone had been everywhere.

I grabbed the key and quickly went out.

Even Lian's parents don't know about this house, it's really our love nest.

After he left, all the keys were in my hands.

I suddenly remembered something, I was quite confused before and often forgot to bring the key, so Jilan always hid a key in the doormat, that key I didn't take back.

I lifted up the door mat, and the key was indeed gone!

A chill ran down my spine, I hastily locked the door and rushed downstairs.

As soon as I walked out, Sun Wen called me.

He asked me out for dinner, but I said I was too tired and didn't want to go.

He was also considerate on the other end of the phone and immediately said, "Yes, you've been taking care of patients in the hospital for several days, so it's natural to be tired. You go home first, I'll come back to accompany you later."

Just then, I suddenly saw a familiar figure flash by and cross over to the other side of the road.

I don't know why, but I took off after him in a sprint.

But the more I chased after that shadow, the farther it got away from me. Before long, it completely disappeared around the street corner.

I bent over, holding onto my knees and panting heavily.
