Chapter 10 Contrast

  Yin and Yang Lovers

"What did you say? Are you kidding me? This is a major injury, how can you be discharged the day after tomorrow? The doctor won't even let you go!"

"Don't worry, I'll definitely be able to get out. You can rest assured." He lay on the bed, saying with confidence, as if everything was under his control, and what he said would be carried out.

In a daze, I suddenly felt that he was a bit like Ji Lian. When we were together, he would always prepare everything in advance and never let me worry about anything. Every time, he would inform me beforehand, but in fact, things had already been done.

Now I have this feeling of being controlled by others again. But...

He's just a young man who was hit and injured because he didn't follow traffic rules! How can he compare to my Jielan? My Jielan is the one and only in the world, although he's dead, but he will always live in my heart. He is forever the most beloved in my heart.

I also love my husband Sun Yat-sen, but I didn't marry him because I loved him; rather, I loved him because I married him. My feelings for him are completely different from those for Liao Zhongkai. In this life, only Liao gave me a romance that allowed me to experience the taste of loving someone, and no one can replace him.

I looked at the boy on the hospital bed and finally said sternly, "No way, you have to recover from your injuries before being discharged. We've already called your girlfriend and your parents are not in the country either, so I'm now responsible for your safety. I won't let you leave the hospital."

He let out a "huh" and suddenly sat up in bed, "You're not allowed?"

"I exclaimed in surprise, 'What are you doing? Are you trying to get yourself killed? You just came out of the ICU and you know that! How can someone as young as you be so reckless with their own body?'"

"You're quite caring." He smiled and leaned against the headboard, "It's okay, I'll be fine in a few days."

I looked at his nonchalant appearance, and I was actually quite angry in my heart, but I couldn't say anything to him. I wanted to turn around and leave, but I was afraid of leaving him alone, he would really get into trouble, being young and inexperienced, he might ruin his own life.

"Go lie down and rest. Stop making a fuss. Take good care of yourself, so your parents and girlfriend abroad won't worry about you." I said softly.

He smiled even more on his face, "I said it's nothing, just believe me."

Seeing him insist, and adding that I myself had no right to make decisions for him, I could only stop talking.

For the next two days, I was just serving him meals every day, and we had almost no other communication. Sun Yat-sen would come to see me once a day.

He has been very busy these days, I heard that there was a small problem, so the hospital is revising the plan in a hurry. I rarely ask about his work, just silently support him.

After spending a few days together, I also started to like this young man named Su Jinan. He seemed somewhat melancholic, but from time to time he would show his humorous and calm side.

Although communication is rare, I know that he must be a very elegant person in life, who knows how to enjoy and relax.

But Sun Wen is much worse off in this regard. He's a very hardworking person, and it wasn't until I had known Ji Luan for two or three years that I got to know him as a friend.

According to Ji Luan, he spends two-thirds of his time in the laboratory and writing papers, and one-third is spent making reports and revising topics. He's a very diligent person.

To be honest, at that time I didn't like people like that. Actually... now I still don't really like them. I like people who know how to live life, like Ji Lian, balancing work and rest, doing what they should do when they should do it.

He was as diligent as Sun Wen, but in academia, he always couldn't compare to Ji Luan. At first, he explained it as limited talent, saying that Ji Luan was born suitable for this. Now, he himself has also become a mid-stream figure in the industry and is somewhat unwilling to admit that he is not as good as Ji Luan in his early years. His way is to simply no longer mention Ji Luan.
