Chapter 27: Encounter

Chapter 27: Encounter with Exorcist Tian Shi Qing Dou

Holding the Kuixing sword, Qin Feng's palms were occasionally covered with cold sweat. The mountain valley was surrounded by towering pagoda trees, densely packed and stretching as far as the eye could see, making it impossible to see very far.

In the valley, a few crows flew in from who-knows-when and hid among the branches, croaking "Yah yah!" with hoarse voices that filled the air with a faint chill and desolation. Zhou Qin shivered and tightly wrapped her arms around herself, then said to Qin Feng, "This place has very heavy yin energy."

"Yes, the compass needle is fluctuating wildly." Qin Feng looked at the compass in his left hand, the needle was shaking and the yin energy was very heavy. After walking a short distance, Qin Feng signaled that he had to stop temporarily.

"What's wrong, Qin Feng?" Zhou Qin asked in confusion.

"This place has a heavy yin energy, just in case, let's bring this along." Qin Feng said, taking out two strings of six-emperor coins from his shirt pocket and giving one to Zhou Qin. "This thing can ward off the yin energy, it's better to have it than not."

The two continued to move forward, and suddenly heard a rustling sound coming from the woods, as if something was moving. Qin Feng carefully walked over, parted the branches beside him, and searched for the source of the noise.

"What's going on? Nothing at all?" Zhou Qin muttered in a trembling small voice.

But just as he finished speaking, something suddenly appeared out of nowhere, almost causing Qin Feng to faint on the spot. It was a snake, a four-meter-long giant serpent with a blood-red body as thick as a bowl.

"Ah!" Qin Feng shouted, his body hair almost standing on end as he gazed at the snake in front of him with a look of horror.

Turning around to look, Zhou Qin also shouted loudly at this time, but in the midst of danger, there was no excessive reaction. The snake suddenly pounced on Qin Feng.

Luckily, Qin Feng was relatively rational and jumped up to dodge to the left. With his right hand grasping the Kuigang sword, he swung it in an attempt to cut off the giant snake. However, the snake had already pounced on Qin Feng's face while he was dodging. It wasn't until now that Qin Feng saw the true appearance of the giant snake, and what was even more astonishing was that a purple-red crown had grown on its head.

Just as the snake was about to swallow Qin Feng whole, Zhou Qin hastily pulled out a military dagger from his backpack and was about to charge forward. The snake, being a spiritual creature, especially now that it had become a spirit, sensed some movement behind it and swung its tail with a loud "slap!" Zhou Qin was knocked flying by the snake's tail and tumbled into the bushes.

The ferocious eyes stared at Zhou Qin for a moment before shifting to Qin Feng. In the critical moment of life and death, Qin Feng immediately thought of the method his grandfather had taught him. He quickly raised his left hand, bit his middle finger, and stuck the blood on the sword blade. From his pocket, he pulled out a talisman and pasted it on the sword, muttering incantations in his mouth, then swiftly attacked the giant snake.

To say that this trick is really effective, the sword had not even touched the snake when it voluntarily retreated and quickly turned around to escape into the bushes.

Looking at the scene in front of him, Zhou Qin shook his head foolishly and asked: "What did you just do? Why did the snake run away?"

Qin Feng put away the Kuixiao sword and explained, "Nothing much, this is a method of subduing demons from the Tian Shi Dao. The middle finger blood itself has spirituality, plus my ability to cast the demon-subduing spell and this Kuixiao sword, I suppose that snake must have felt the power, so it escaped."

Middle finger blood, one of the four spirits in the human body. The so-called four spirits refer to middle finger blood, tongue tip blood, eyebrow center and meridians. Middle finger blood, as the name suggests, everyone should understand, while tongue tip blood is generally considered to be the best for children. Eyebrow center, it's not surprising that the eyebrow center is one of the four spirits, as the eyebrow center is often the location of the third eye in the human body. The existence of the third eye has been debated by many people, including some Taoist and Buddhist practitioners, and even scientists. However, science has now proven that the third eye does exist and is located at the eyebrow center. Opening the eyebrow center can result in various types of eyes, such as yin-yang eyes, heavenly eyes, and wise eyes.

The reason why the meridians are one of the four spirits is because they are determined by the energy field of the human body itself. The human body is a small universe, and it communicates and resonates with the larger universe outside, which is "the unity of heaven and man". Often, the manifestation of this unity is lodged in the three souls and seven spirits within the meridians, so the meridians are also one of the four spirits, and they are the most important spiritual entities on the human body.

Without further ado, Qin Feng hastily pulled Zhou Qin to chase in the direction of the giant snake. After this episode, Qin Feng gained some confidence and was certain that although the snake had become a demon, its cultivation was not enough, so he still had a chance to subdue it.

"Will this snake harm people?" Zhou Qin asked Qin Feng while searching around.

"It might work, I just tried it out, at least it hasn't fully mastered the way yet, so we must catch it before it's fully mastered, otherwise it may go down the mountain and harm people."

"Qin Feng, did you notice that the snake's head had a crown on it? It was terrifying. I've been collecting antiques for over 20 years, and I've dug up graves all over the place. I've seen all sorts of strange things, but a blood-red snake with a crown on its head is a first for me. Next thing you know, I hope it turns into an antique so I can keep it as a pet. Who knows, maybe it'll even bring me good luck and fortune." Zhou Qin joked, still rubbing his waist where the snake had hit him, muttering curses under his breath.

The dense forest has already shaded more than half of the sun. Although it is now noon, the valley below is gloomy and shaded, with no warmth at all. The magpie on the tree keeps chirping, looking at the stranger's visit with a hint of unquenchable anger in its eyes.

"What is this?" Zhou Qin noticed that there was a clue and examined it for a while without knowing what it meant, so he immediately rushed over to ask.

Qin Feng looked at the wooden stake on the ground, which had been blown out by the wind after withstanding several winds and frosts, and felt an inexplicable anxiety in his heart. He shook his head and replied, "I'm not very clear either, hopefully nothing will happen..."

The sentence was spoken in a low and serious tone, but Zhou Qin didn't take it seriously and immediately pulled Qin Feng to continue walking forward. However, as soon as they moved, they heard a questioning voice from behind them: "What are you doing? How did you end up here?"

Qin Feng turned around and saw two people hurrying down from the mountain, walking towards him. He frowned and looked closely, feeling that their clothes were familiar. "It's the police!" Zhou Qin took out binoculars and looked at the two people, and at first glance, they were indeed police officers. "Police?" Qin Feng thought to himself, if the police have arrived, things are going to get complicated.
