Chapter 3: Desperate Pursuit

  Murder Bureau within Bureau

As soon as I heard Lu Yufeng say this, my heart tightened instantly. I thought to myself that the thief we were facing had always been elusive and escaped punishment, so how could his escaping skills not be strong? If we went after him, it would undoubtedly be a futile effort.

I was about to advise him a word, but before I could open my mouth, Lu Yifeng had already pulled us both out of the door.

We came riding a motorcycle, this time chasing, and can only use it as a tool.

Lu Yifeng hailed us onto the motorcycle and after saying "get ready", he revved it up and took off with a "vroom".

I found that Lu Yifeng's driving skills are quite impressive, he can suddenly accelerate the car to such a high speed. I was sitting in the middle and it was okay, but I couldn't help but lean back a bit. Panzi wasn't so lucky, he let out a "wow" and if he hadn't grabbed me tightly at the last second, I suspect he would have flipped over the side of the car.

And then he grabbed it like that, and my back let out a ripping sound. At the time, I was so helpless that I had an urge to cry, thinking that this jacket of mine was brand new, hadn't even warmed up yet, and now it's been ruined by this good-for-nothing thing.

The motorcycle of the Mandarin duck thief is already far away, Lu Yifeng in order to catch up with them, makes an effort to refuel, letting our motorcycle speed up to the extreme.

I'm not sure how many miles I've walked, but as soon as I poked my head out, the wind hit me in the face and it stung, like being slapped with a small stick.

Helpless, I had to hide behind Ah Feng's back. Pan Zi was even more afraid than me, he also had the nerve, desperately squeezing forward, sticking to my back, not to mention that his thighs were almost clamped on my buttocks.

I'm annoyed by his stubbornness, so I turned around and said a few words to make him back off.

But he just shook his head, afraid of falling down, and instead pushed forward a bit. In the end, I had no choice but to understand Panzi's mood, so it was left like that.

The male thief was quite confident at first, thinking we wouldn't catch up to him, but as our motorcycle got closer and closer, he panicked, suddenly turned a corner and ran towards a flat house.

These are all old houses, waiting to be demolished. To put it bluntly, the streets and alleys here are like a maze, and the thief is taking advantage of this environment to make us lose our way.

His motorcycle skills are really good, and with a few swoops, he disappeared into the alley. I thought we were done for this time and was about to pack up. But Lu Yifeng made me helpless again. Not only did he not slow down, but he also rushed into the alley like a madman, narrowly dodging through various alleys.

It's not like saying that a person is walking in an alley, where the space is wide and casual, but the motorcycle has a very small activity space in the alley, sometimes it's almost stuck to the wall.

Panzi and I were both nervous, because if we weren't careful, our feet would stick out a bit too far and hit the wall, and a piece of flesh would definitely be scraped off.

We probably spent a quarter of an hour poking around the flat, then the swans were in front and we were behind, all rushing out and jumping onto the road.

I was admiring Ah Feng's skills at the same time, and in my heart, I was also scolding those police officers. I thought to myself that we had all sent out signals, and with GPS, it had been half a day already, so why hadn't they caught up yet?

The mandarin duck thief saw that we couldn't shake them off like this, so the male thief started to get vicious again. He suddenly slowed down the car and swerved left and right on the road. I knew his intention - he wanted us to follow him a bit closer, then find an opportunity to use the car wheels to block us.

This is also a trick for playing with cars. Our motorcycle was really stuck, relying on the speed of the car to guarantee a severe crash to the ground, and the two of us might have died as a result.

Lu Yifeng hesitated for a moment, slowed down slightly, and followed them at a certain distance.

The male thief kept watching us through the rearview mirror, he was calm and collected, but the female thief couldn't hold it in, suddenly turned her head around, gave us the middle finger, the meaning couldn't be clearer, a blatant provocation.

This annoyed Ah Feng, he shouted a sentence and then suddenly accelerated.

I always thought Ah Feng was a very rational person, but now his behavior has made me feel a chill in my heart. I even think that the unpredictable nature of life and death is already lurking beside us, waiting for the moment when we meet with disaster, and then they will drag us both to the underworld to make our report.

But I once again underestimated Lu Yifeng's strength, or rather the performance of this military motorcycle. The engine roared loudly as it actually broke through the male thief's interception and went head-to-head with their motorcycle.

This time, we and the Mandarin Duck Thief are on the same level. The female thief stared at us with disbelieving eyes, and we were all stunned.

I was stunned too, and didn't react in time. Lu Yufeng pushed the motorcycle closer to us again, shouting at us, "What are you waiting for? Fight!"

I thought so, Panzi and I just got a good scolding, it's about time we put it to use.

My name is Upper Panzi, and I'll make room for one hand to take out the whip. They say men can't hit women, but do we have time for that now? Especially Panzi, he can't reach the male thief, so he specializes in hitting female thieves.

He scolded while hitting, "You little girl, let you mess with unscrupulous men, do you know your mistake now?"

The mandarin duck thief had no weapon to resist us, so he was at a disadvantage. The male thief was cunning and knew that this wouldn't work, so he suddenly turned the motorcycle around and drove it into a forest.

They stopped in front of the mountain forest and got off together, tacitly drilling into the forest. Judging from their actions, they were so desperate to escape that they didn't even want the car.

To be realistic, even if we can't catch the Mandarin Duck thieves, we've still made a significant achievement by seizing their getaway vehicle.

Ke Lu Yu Feng was still not satisfied, and drove the motorcycle to the side of the forest, also signaling us to get off the vehicle, as if he wanted to continue chasing after us on foot. Moreover, after getting off the motorcycle, he stared at the two motorcycles and said, "Let out air!"

He personally took a spring knife and pierced the front tire of our motorcycle, and Panzi also took advantage of the opportunity to pierce the front and rear tires of the stolen motorcycle.

Lu Yufeng had us bring our weapons and then we all entered the woods together. This forest is strange, because it's full of tombstones and graves.

In Suifeng Village before, I felt suffocated when I saw the grave mounds there. This feeling has come back again this time. I don't want to be in the lead either, so I'll just follow behind A Feng.

Lu Yufeng also brought a flashlight and shone it on the ground. I didn't see anything, but his eyes were really sharp and he was able to find the shoe prints left behind by the Mandarin duck thief.

We continued to follow the footprints, and after a rough estimate of at least two miles in, the surroundings became overgrown with weeds, and the ground emitted a foul smell.

Suddenly, Ah Feng waved his hand to stop, looked around suspiciously and said, "The shoe prints are gone after all. Let's be careful, there might be an ambush."

I was on high alert, but before I could get familiar with the surroundings, a haystack moved and a black shadow darted out.

He was wearing a motorcycle helmet, and at first glance, it was clear that he was the male thief. He had a small knife in his hand, which was usually used to cut bags, but this time he temporarily used it as a weapon to launch a surprise attack on us.

We can't be so useless, all dodging to the side, Lu Yifeng immediately turned around and rushed over, wanting to use his iron pliers to press against the male thief's neck.

In fact, the male thief wasn't so stupid, thinking he could take us down with just a small knife, he had an ace up his sleeve.

This kid's moves are quite fast, with a casual flick of his sleeve, an extra paper package appeared in his hand. He crushed the paper package and splashed it at us with force.

The whole thing was a kind of pink powder, and it all pounced on our faces at once.

A Feng shouted a sentence and hastily retreated several steps back. His reaction was truly swift, the powder didn't even touch his body.

I slowed down a bit, but held my breath in time and barely dodged it.

Pan Zi was done for, this foolish old man not only didn't dodge, when Ah Feng shouted "dodge", he even reflexively let out an "ah" sound, and with just that one mouthful, the red powder all went into his belly.

The male thief didn't dare to fight, turned his head and ran away, swooshing back into the bushes.

I didn't have time to care about the male thief, I had to see how Panzi was doing. I hurried over to Panzi's side.

This medicine is quite potent, it's taken effect in just a short while. Panzi suddenly knelt to the ground with a thud, clutching his neck and coughing violently, his entire expression twisted in a mix of laughter and tears.

I didn't have an antidote either, and I didn't know what to do for the better. Lu Yifeng hastily hit Pan Zi's neck, making him temporarily unconscious.

He frowned at me and said, "The anesthetic in Pan Zi's body is nothing serious, but he needs to sleep for a while. What do you say? You stay here to take care of Pan Zi, and I'll continue the pursuit."

He finished speaking and didn't wait for me to respond, disappearing into the thicket before my eyes.

I looked around at the strange surroundings and then glanced at Panzi, thinking to myself, "Why am I so unlucky to have run into this crazy cop Ahfeng?"
