Chapter Sixteen Dilution
The second floor window of the wine building, sometimes emitting black smoke, and sometimes cold air coming out. The people in the wine building were all crowded at the foot of the stairs, stretching their necks to look up at the second floor, but no one dared to go up.
The owner of the wine shop stood behind the counter, lowering his head to look at the gold piece given by Jiang Feng. The gold was quite large and still had clear fingerprints on it. Upon closer inspection, one could even see the fingerprint patterns. This piece of gold looked as if it had been pinched out by someone's hand.
In fact, it was indeed Jiang Feng who pinched them out with his hands. He was a poor guy and originally didn't have much gold. However, from the storage bags he obtained from those deceased monks, there were some. After gathering them together, they were pinched into blocks of gold by him.
"Stop crowding around, go and do what you need to do." The owner of the wine house said to the surrounding partners at the stairs.
Some of the partners dispersed, while others anxiously asked the boss: "Master, what's going on upstairs? What if someone gets killed or our wine shop catches fire, wouldn't that be a big deal?"
"What's with all the meddling? Just focus on your own work. Hurry up and go to the back kitchen to rush the dishes. Once things calm down upstairs, quickly go up and put away the stuff. Did you hear that?" The tavern owner said to his employee.
The fellow nodded, not understanding why the master was so calm. As this fellow rushed to the back kitchen, the tavern owner called over another young fellow and said a few words to him, after which that fellow hastily ran out of the tavern.
Then the owner of the wine house ordered people to drive away all the guests in the store. The empty wine house now has only one guest, Jiang Feng. However, this guest is struggling between ice and fire.
It was just a few drops of wine, but it had already released a vast amount of spiritual energy. Moreover, the speed at which it spread was extremely fast. Jiang Feng's body couldn't withstand it at all, and he was completely unable to absorb it. Now, he could only use all his strength to let the spiritual energy dissipate as quickly as possible. Otherwise, he would be directly blown up. As for now, with this cold and hot sensation, Jiang Feng could still endure it. After all, it couldn't be compared to the Heavenly Tribulation.
Twenty minutes later, Jiang Feng's spiritual power finally calmed down. His clothes had been burned beyond recognition, and his hair and eyebrows still had frost on them. This was the result of rapid changes between cold and heat. Otherwise, the clothes on his body would have been completely destroyed.
Looked around and saw that the floorboards were almost burned through, the table was already half gone. Looked at his own hands again, the wine glass was still intact, and the wine inside was still there.
The original seat was no longer available, so Jiang Feng had to switch to another table. As soon as he stood up, the stool under him collapsed. Jiang Feng walked away, muttering to himself: "Fortunately, Tian Jie didn't come, otherwise many people would have died."
After sitting down again, Jiang Feng called the wine shop owner. He wanted to mention the compensation issue, but the wine shop owner was very respectful and repeatedly said it wasn't necessary. Moreover, he ordered people to continue serving dishes and wine.
I also can't understand what the boss of the wine house is thinking, if someone says no, then just don't use it. As for the dishes that came up, Jiang Feng didn't eat them immediately. He looked at the cup of wine and shook his head. However, after shaking his head, Jiang Feng couldn't help but say "good wine".
What just happened was indeed extremely dangerous. Jiang Feng's body suffered injuries, but he also benefited greatly from it. Not only did his spiritual power increase somewhat, some of the meridians that had not been opened were also opened in several places. Even his divine consciousness showed signs of enhancement. All of this was thanks to that glass of wine.
"If I keep drinking like this, I might just kick the bucket. Can't drink it straight, gotta dilute it." Jiang Feng muttered to himself.
He first tidied up his clothes and tied them with the remaining half of his belt. Then he took out that gourd again. Since he didn't know how much wine was inside, nor whether the gourd had a special storage space inside, Jiang Feng took out two water bags instead.
It wasn't that Jiang Feng's divine sense couldn't enter the gourd, he could indeed extend his divine sense into it. However, he couldn't see how much wine was inside. Because inside the gourd was a world of ice and fire, Jiang Feng's divine sense was completely incinerated as soon as it entered.
The water bags were storage pouches of other monks, specially used to hold water. They were also spatial items. Now there was no water inside either. Jiang Feng opened one and poured the wine from the gourd into the water bag, shouting loudly: "Brothers, bring me all your best wines."
The wine inside the gourd kept flowing into the water sac. The water sac was only as long as an arm, and it seemed like it couldn't hold much. But the wine that flowed in just kept increasing. Before long, over 100 catties of wine had been poured in. Jiang Feng also knew that the internal space of this gourd must be very large. As for how much wine was actually inside, it was really hard to say.
After stopping, Jiang Feng picked up the gourd and poured some of the wine from one water bag into another empty one. He only poured a little, less than a catty, before stopping again.
At this time, the buddy also moved the wine jar up. Five large wine jars were placed next to the table, and then asked Jiang Feng if it was enough.
"Keep going, bring as much as you can." Jiang Feng said, stretching out his hand to point at a wine jug. The seal on the wine jug automatically opened, and the wine inside flew out in a stream, flowing into a water bag that already had some wine in it.
In the blink of an eye, a ten-pound jar of wine was empty. Jiang Feng, sitting there, swayed his body, his face red, and occasionally saw double vision, as if he had gotten drunk.
"Afterwards, the strength is still not small." Jiang Feng muttered to himself as he dipped his chopsticks into the water bag and added a bit more.
The entire body once again withstood a spiritual impact. A large amount of spiritual energy surged through the tongue, spreading throughout the body. Fortunately, it was diluted somewhat and the quantity was too small, so Jiang Feng didn't end up like last time. However, that chopstick had already turned into an ice stick.
Open all the wine jars and pour all the wine into the water bag. The fellow who had been staring blankly for a long time continued to move the wine under Jiang Feng's urging.
One jar after another of wine was brought over, all of which were poured into the water bag by Jiang Feng. Soon the good wine in the wine house was gone. They had to use some inferior ones. Finally, even the cheapest wine was drunk away by Jiang Feng.
He picked up the chopsticks again, and this time Jiang Feng didn't have any issues. He took out some more wine from another water bag. After trying it again, Jiang Feng felt that the wine was full-bodied. Moreover, the spiritual energy within could be fully tolerated. There was no need to worry about being burned or moved anymore. This time he could drink with ease and no longer had to force out the essence of the wine.
He found a small bowl and poured himself one. He had just taken two sips, with his eyes closed in enjoyment. When he opened them again, he suddenly saw an old man standing beside the table staring at him.
The old man looked to be in his fifties or sixties, with a small amount of white hair combed back into a queue. He wore ordinary coarse clothing, was over 1.7 meters tall, slightly thin, and had a slight hunchback. At this moment, he was pressing both hands against the table, staring at Jiang Feng with wide eyes.
Slightly drunk Jiang Feng, for a moment didn't react. The old man suddenly snatched the bowl from Jiang Feng's hand and drank all the wine in one gulp. Then he closed his eyes and smacked his lips. He was still shaking his head there, seemingly dissatisfied.
"Master, is absolutely a master I can't beat." Jiang Feng said so in his heart.
The old man stared at Jiang Feng, taking a deep breath as if smelling something. Then he fixed his gaze on the wine glass that Jiang Feng had placed on the table earlier. Extremely quickly, he picked up the wine glass and drank the wine inside.
"He can't drink... that..." Jiang Feng subconsciously said. As he spoke, he also realized that it would be better if he drank himself to death, saving himself from danger, so why bother reminding him.
But just as he was saying that, he saw the old man's face filled with a look of enjoyment, and there wasn't even any danger at all. Jiang Feng secretly thought to himself, this isn't just someone he can't beat in a fight, it's probably also someone who could kill him with just one stomp of his foot.
