Chapter Fifteen: The Dusty Mind Cannot Compare to the Diamond-Like Wisdom
A battle with a foreign vampire seemed to have brought little change to Chu Ping's life. Throughout the winter break, Chu Ping was mostly at home, either surfing the internet, watching TV, or quietly cultivating in his bedroom when he had nothing else to do.
The several major sects' spells seen on that day flashed one by one in Chu Ping's heart.
Shu Mountain's Flying Sword, Kongtong's Heavenly Seal, Emei's Copper Wheel Taiji Seal, Pure Yang Sect's Blazing Divine Fire, and even the Blood Clan's Blood Seal and Escape Life Great Method...
The Fudō Myō-ō seal of Wūxiāng Temple, firm and unshakeable in mind, single-mindedly pursuing the realm of the Great Way, not to be deluded by external objects and demonic thoughts. Also, there are six ancient Buddha relics, quieting the mind and eliminating false thinking.
Zhu Ping did not know that today's world is already different from the ancient times.
In ancient times, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth was dense, and there were countless sacred mountains and spiritual veins. The places for cultivating immortals and saints were as numerous as the hairs on an ox's back. But now, the heaven and earth have long been polluted and the spiritual energy is thin. Those who can condense their external body into a sharira are extremely rare, and can be counted on one's fingers.
He had a suit of magical treasures, whether it was the cosmic pagoda or the sharp sword in his hand, or the sarira, they were all top-grade divine artifacts. Even those who had achieved great success as heavenly immortals and Buddhas might not have such spiritual objects.
Half a month at home, Chu Ping's cultivation has made rapid progress, and in the end, it seems that he can break through his thoughts and enter the Diamond Realm.
Buddhist practice is often different from Taoist practice.
Most Taoists first introduce the spiritual energy of heaven and earth into their bodies, refining their physical bodies. When their physical bodies are immortal, they then cultivate their minds and original hearts. In contrast, Buddhists often take cultivating their minds as the main practice, so many Buddhist monks who have cultivated to a very high level often have their physical bodies decay and have no choice but to reincarnate and start anew.
In the six paths of reincarnation, there is the protection of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, which can ensure that the original mind from past lives cultivates and does not extinguish its thoughts. As time passes, as long as one's innate quality is not too poor, they can break through delusion and attain enlightenment!
Often said: "Transform the virtuous and transform the foolish."
The Taoist school selects its disciples, those who can achieve great success are generally extraordinary people, while the Buddhist school claims to ferry all living beings across, which is not an empty boast.
The practice of Wú Xiāng Temple, up to the second realm, is also a physical practice, as solid as tempered steel, in no way inferior to the immortal flesh and jade bones of Taoism.
The cultivation of the Qitian Sect does not emphasize spiritual powers, but rather focuses on comprehending the Great Way. Therefore, it does not hinder Chu Ping from practicing the techniques of other sects.
Taking the Zitian Shenfa as the foundation, practicing various magical powers in the Wuxiang Temple is indeed a case of doubling one's efforts and achieving twice the results.
Chu Ping's nine-character mantra seal was already far above that of his fellow disciples of the same generation!
A body of Dharma power accumulated, not a bit different from many hundred-year practitioners.
The enormous yuan force accumulated in the universe is almost inexhaustible, and even for Chu Ping, who can now fly freely in the air, what he absorbs is only a drop in the ocean, a hair from nine cows.
The holiday has long passed, a new semester has begun, and Chu Ping is still the same as before, attending classes every day at 10 o'clock, and having nothing to do with his classmates.
It's not that he didn't want to practice, but rather his skills had already reached a plateau.
Although he has a good natural talent, after all, he is only seventeen or eighteen years old, and his experience is far less than that of those hundred-year-old cultivators, so naturally his understanding of the "way" also differs.
In history, many people have accumulated for 70 or 80 years and then cultivated the immortal way at the end. After a few months of breaking through, they can break free from the mortal world and ascend to heaven.
Chu Ping suddenly realized, in just 17 or 18 years, his observation and contemplation were like a lotus flower, the secret method of Heaven had reached its peak!
In just two months, he has already surpassed the ordinary, and even compared to the young talents who have been carefully cultivated by major sects like Kunlun and Shu Mountain, there is no difference at all.
Everything has an end, all things have a limit, and now he has reached the critical point of his cultivation.
Achieving immortality is not a smooth sail, nor is it all about being carefree. All things in the world require a combination of natural talent, perseverance, insight, and opportunity.
Like all things in the mundane world, everything starts with enthusiasm and excitement, but once it reaches a bottleneck in its development, it becomes dull and uninteresting.
There is no overnight success and no effortless achievement.
Nowadays, Chu Ping's daily meditation and internal energy cultivation have yielded little results. The endless primordial force of the universe washes over his meridians every day, but he can only grasp a tiny fraction of it, leaving him feeling stifled.
"Everything that is rushed will not be achieved, and cultivation seems to be the same. Like learning and working, it requires years of accumulation, and it's also a matter of consuming effort and energy. There are no free lunches in heaven, and cultivating the truth is not a shortcut to instant success. Otherwise, the world would have been filled with immortals flying around, and my master wouldn't have had to linger in the realm of relics for hundreds of years!"
Once he understood this point, Chu Ping felt at ease and only spent two hours a day cultivating his yuanqi. Spending more time would be ineffective and a waste of effort.
Attending classes every day is also an unavoidable thing.
Even if one is a cultivator of the truth, after all, worldly karma and causes are still present. In the eyes of parents and relatives, a person's achievements are measured by their career, fame, and social status.
Even if I don't care about myself, I still have to consider the attitude of taking care of my family.
The world is a big web. Even if you can ignore others' attitudes and perceptions, but if you want to pursue happiness and be with the one you love, you still need these complicated things.
Man is ultimately a social and gregarious animal.
If you want to think that Weiqing is innocent and doesn't deserve to be wronged, then ultimately you have to pursue these things, don't let others think that Weiqing is a pearl thrown into the darkness, choosing the wrong person!
Even so, I haven't been with Weiqing yet!
Going to school, graduating, working, having a house, saving money, eating and drinking, traveling, these are all unavoidable!
Even if I have to force them open and thoroughly shake off the restraints of worldly bonds, it will only be after settling the karma of this life!
If one only considers his own thoughts, he is too selfish and cannot be called a man.
Time is like a river flowing eastward, day and night without stop.
Before I knew it, I'm already in my sophomore year!
The dormitory is empty, and no one is there.
Four years in college have passed like a flash, those who should have girlfriends already do, and those who don't naturally have their own entertainment activities. Who would waste time staying in the dorm during the day?
Chu Ping himself was introverted by nature and had a lukewarm personality, so after a long time, nobody came to invite him out to play anymore.
In fact, in Chu Ping's heart, she was extremely fond of lively scenes, but no matter how lively the gathering was, there would always be a time to disperse, and the desolation after the excitement made it even harder for people to bear.
"The Heart Sutra is also known as the 'Mahaprajnaparamita Heart Sutra', where prajna refers to wisdom. The practice of Wuxiang Temple, from contemplation to Vajra to Prajna and then to Sarira, is nothing but breaking through delusions, solidifying the physical body, and making the mind sharp and agile, until reaching the complete and unhindered realm of Mahayana, which must be derived from this!"
"The realm of diamond, to temper the flesh to be strong and solid, directly penetrating to perfection. The tortoise and snake of Qitian sect entwined, the five elements overturned, although it is a realm where divine thought and flesh combine, there must be communication! The way of heaven, all laws return to one, different paths with the same destination!"
Chu Ping muttered to himself, his true yuan circulating throughout his body, roaring and surging through the twelve regular meridians, repeatedly tempering his already rock-solid physique.
"Heaven is where all things stand, earth is where all things are at peace. On this great earth, there are mountains and rivers, the mind is like heaven, the body is like earth! Without external forces, the body is like a mountain, unmoving, yet like a river, ever-changing, though seemingly contradictory, it is indeed the ultimate principle!"
"The Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu talks about non-action. The Way of Heaven is non-action, which means that all things change, but the original heart remains unchanged. On the other hand, the Way of Man is 'non-not-doing', which means adapting to changes and being able to live a long life!"
Chu Ping was well-versed in ancient classics and the sayings of sages, combining the cultivation methods of two major sects. With a single comprehension, he achieved mastery over all aspects, as his true yuan energy surged into his body's meridians like liquid silver, continuously condensing and taking shape!
"Wusang Temple's divine power, although it is the refinement of the flesh body, after all, it is the Buddhist practice! Buddhism has countless golden bodies, and it is said that the relics are solid and round, nothing can destroy them. Taoism says that in the holes of the human body, there is a correspondence with the stars in the sky, this is the divine spirit, ultimately it is one principle!"
Chu Ping's heart became increasingly enlightened, and his spirit gradually immersed into a state of quiet emptiness.
Lao Tzu said, "Attain complete emptiness, maintain quiet profundity! This is the true meaning of emptiness and quietude!"
Buddhism says, the mind is like a bright mirror, also quiet and empty!
The true yuan of the whole body surged into the major acupoints all over the body, and Chu Ping suddenly remembered the whirlpool formed when his soul was transformed into chaos that day, and he suddenly realized!
