Chapter 22: Yue Kang Became the Focus
Yue Kang slowly stood up under everyone's gaze and said to Bai Miao Yun: "Sister, don't you think it's strange that the Hu family suddenly doesn't want us to make 30,000 pieces of porcelain? With your understanding of the Hu family, are they not a trustworthy person?"
Although Bai Miao Yun felt a strong dislike for this flower thief, she spoke in a relatively calm tone for the sake of the Bai family, "The Hu family has always been particular about their reputation, and all previous business dealings have been trustworthy, but I don't know what happened this time."
Yu Kang nodded in agreement and continued to ask: "Is the Ren family a ceramic family that has risen to prominence only in the past two years?"
Bai Miao nodded, "Indeed, the Ren family has only been in the ceramics business for three years. It's said that they used to be in the salt business before switching to ceramics because it was more profitable. Although the Ren family hasn't been in the ceramics business for long, they have a solid foundation and have developed rapidly. In all of Xiang Le County, aside from my own White family, the Ren family is the largest."
"Sister, let me ask you again, have you associated the Hu and Ren families with what happened this time?" Yue Kang already knew seven or eight out of ten.
"The Hu family and the Ren family have never had much to do with each other, but the Hu family has been very close to our Bai family for generations. Does this matter?" White Miao Yun didn't know why Yue Kang asked this.
Yue Kang turned his head and said to the old lady, "I think you know more about the Hu family than my sister does. Why did the White and Hu families turn against each other after being in a relationship for many years?"
The old lady also shook her head, "In theory, the Hu family shouldn't have done something like that."
"The contradiction lies here, both the old lady and the elder sister confirmed that the Hu family would not do such a thing, so has anyone thought that this matter from start to finish is just a trap?" Yue Kang scanned around.
Everyone who heard Yue Kang's words was shocked and thought it might be possible after some consideration.
Yue Kang paused for a moment before continuing: "Think about it, if this time it wasn't the Hu family who ordered our goods, but someone else, would the Bai family still provide manufacturing? What are the chances?"
Everyone in their hearts says yes, if it were someone else, the Bai family would definitely ask them to pay more money first and then have them sign a document with the authorities as proof. This is an issue of trust and distrust.
"What evidence do you have that it was a trap from the beginning?" asked Bai Miao Yun, as if she had also realized something.
"At first, I had no evidence at all, but with the appearance of the Ren family, it was ironclad proof. I could conclude that everything was orchestrated by the Ren family. As for how much benefit the Hu family received from the Ren family, I wouldn't know. As a 21st-century HR manager, how could Yue Kang not see through these petty tricks? Everything matched his speculation."
"Even if it's a trap, why would you say it was the Ren family's doing? The Ren family had agreed to buy those 30,000 pieces of porcelain, isn't this just shooting themselves in the foot?" Bai Miao Yun also guessed something in her heart, but she still wanted Yue Kang to speak out.
"Two families collaborated, and the Ren family had the intention of purchasing 30,000 pieces of unsellable ceramics. Don't you think they took advantage of a good deal? Or rather, the Ren family ran around selling goods, while you only needed to manufacture them. Isn't that very comfortable for you, and on top of that, they even split the profits equally?" Yue Kang said with a big smile.
Bai Miao frowned and the old lady was also deep in thought, while Bai Miao's eyes stared unwaveringly at Yue Kang, her heart highly approving of his views.
"Yue Xianzhong, you mean to say that all of this was arranged by the Ren family and they had the Hu family do it, with the goal of cooperating with us. But what's the point of going through so much trouble?" Meng Tangxin asked.
"The problem is right here. The Ren family rose to power in just two or three years, and you are all businessmen too. They don't lack financial resources or manpower. What do you think they rely on?" Yue Kang asked the crowd.
Many people don't know how to respond.
"It's about operating channels and interpersonal relationships. If a group doesn't have these, no matter how perfect their products are, they won't be able to develop. To make the business bigger, it must go through interpersonal channels. But our Bai family is just the opposite. We've been passed down for hundreds of years, and what we lack least is interpersonal relationships. It can be said that the porcelain we produce will have many ways out, and with multiple channels, even if one household doesn't want it, another will."
"Why don't they produce it themselves and let our Bai family operate? Have you guys ever thought about this question. Their cooperation with us is fake, but their desire to get the interpersonal relationships in our hands is real. Once they grasp the connections we have, what will be the consequences? They will kick our Bai family away, set up their own business, and by that time, we will have been behind the scenes for a long time, and our relationship with previous customers will have faded, who will still want our things?"
Yue Kang said with a sigh, "I don't want to see the Bai family jump into the fire pit. Maybe I should do something for them."
Everyone who heard Yue Kang's words was shocked, and they all took a deep breath of cold air. If what Yue Kang said was true, the consequences would be unthinkable, and they all broke out in a cold sweat.
Bai Miao's face was also pale, and Yue Kang's words were reasonable, but in her heart, she felt as if she had been struck by lightning. It was too frightening.
Everyone thoroughly opened the pot and started discussing.
Yue Kang sat down calmly and took a sip of tea, saying so many words that his mouth was really dry.
The old lady was also shocked and her face turned pale. She looked deeply at Yue Kang with a profound gaze, her dark eyes like water.
"So you're saying we can't cooperate with the Ren family anymore?" Bai Miao Yun asked, although she already had an answer in her mind.
Yue Kang shook his head and said, "Absolutely not."
Bai Miao's eyebrows were tightly locked, "Then what should we do? This time the loss to our Bai family is indeed not small." For some reason, Bai Miao trusted this annoying person very much, always feeling that he had a way.
"Thirty thousand pieces of second-rate porcelain, I really can't sell them out, but I have a way to make the White family revive." Yue Kang said, but in his heart he thought that he didn't know what kind of result would appear if the ceramic technology of that era was combined with ancient times. Fortunately, in that era, Yue Kang still had some understanding of ceramics.
"Bring the dead back to life? What method do you have?" Bai Miao Yun's eyes revealed a hint of joy, and with no other options left, she could only place all her hopes on Yue Kang, this hope contained an inexplicable trust.
"For now, I also dare not guarantee it. Tomorrow, I will go to the kiln factory again to confirm, and it won't be too late." Because Yue Kang has not seen what the kiln factory is like yet, he also does not dare to make a promise.
Although it's still uncertain, Bai MiaoYun and even the rest of the Bai family members seem to have grasped at a straw, seeing a glimmer of hope.
Everyone looked at Yue Kang with a gaze that was vastly different from before, all of them showing expressions of admiration.
Bai Miao had been quietly watching Yue Kang, and she increasingly discovered that there were too many things about this man that she couldn't see through. Suddenly, she thought of that letter, but immediately shook her head. She had seen Yue Kang's handwriting before, it was very ugly, only at the elementary level. The font on that letter, although not a brush pen font, was neat and tidy, like a dragon dancing with a pen. A person who couldn't even write good brush pen characters, how could he possibly write such beautiful characters in her eyes?
