Chapter 8: Minor Skills
The physical differences between men and women are actually quite obvious. In terms of facial contours, women's features are softer than men's. The throat area is also different, with men having a prominent Adam's apple. As for the chest, it's common knowledge that women have full breasts, while men have flat chests. The most noticeable difference, however, lies in the proportions of the bust, waist, and hips. Due to differences in pelvic structure, normal women have wider hips, forming a triangular shape, which is the largest of the three, whereas men have narrower hips, generally smaller than their chest circumference. Yang Qiuchi graduated from the Forensic Medicine department of Medical University, so identifying the sex of a corpse would be a piece of cake for him, let alone a living person.
In TV dramas, scenes where a woman dresses up as a man and others can't recognize her are simply unbelievable. If a woman puts on men's clothes and others can't tell, unless that woman looks just like a man, but a woman who looks like a man is not just "ugly", it should be said that she looks "deformed" more accurately. It's strange that such women still have many romantic encounters.
Yang Qiuchi smiled and said: "Guess how I knew?"
The little girl looked herself up and down, then turned around in a circle, touched her chest tightly wrapped in cloth, and blushed slightly. She looked at Yang Qiuchuan and saw that he didn't have an unusual expression, so she felt a bit relieved and shook her head: "I can't guess, you tell me."
"Alright, I'll tell you, but you have to let go of that little dog." Yang Qiuchi looked at the little dog that was almost out of breath and thought, this little girl is really cruel, and couldn't help but frown again.
The little girl hummed: "That's not going to work, I'm going to tie it up!" After a pause, she stomped her foot and said, "You quickly tell me, how did you know I was a girl?"
Yang Qiuchi retreated with a smile: "Since you don't want to, I won't force it. Let's part ways here." With that, he turned around and was about to leave.
The girl was eager to know how Yang Qiuchuan had guessed that she was a woman, where she had gone wrong with her disguise, and how others could see through it at a glance. She didn't care about the little dog's life or death, and if worst came to worst, she could just find another one. With a flick of her mouth, she disdainfully threw the rope tied around the little dog to Yang Qiuchuan: "Hmph! So kind-hearted, like a woman, what kind of man are you?"
"Is bullying a little dog what it means to be a man?"
"Of course! I've heard others say that men should be magnanimous and not bother with trivial matters."
No wonder you wanted to tie up this little dog, thinking of using it to show your iron heart, being a man rather than a girl. Yang Qiucheng suddenly understood the reason why the little girl was abusing the little dog. He took over the rope, squatted down and carefully untied the rope around the little dog's neck.
The little dog broke free from its restraints, scratched its neck, barked a few times, and looked at Yang Qiuchuan with shining eyes, running around in circles and wagging its tail wildly.
"Alright, now it's your turn to talk." The girl wagged her finger, as if threatening, or else be honest and don't blame me for being impolite.
Yang Qiuchi seemed not to have seen: "You're already fifteen years old, right?"
The little girl nodded: "What does this have to do with anything?"
"If it's a boy, at your age, there should be a noticeable Adam's apple, heh heh."
The little girl touched her own throat and found it very smooth. She looked at Yang Qiuchi's Adam's apple and suddenly understood, nodding: "So that's how it is! How can I pretend to have an Adam's apple? Is it good to wear a scarf around my neck?"
"If it's winter, of course, there's no problem, but if it's summer, that would also raise suspicions."
"What should I do?"
"Why should I tell you? You robbed me of my money and now you're asking me what's going on?" Yang Qiuchi said with a stern face.
The little girl pouted again: "That silver was given to me by you as a reward, it's not something I stole!"
"I've never met anyone as unreasonable as you!" Yang Qiuchi cried with laughter, "Alright, I'll show you a magic trick, and you return my silver to me, okay?"
"Magic? Can you do magic?" The little girl's eyes widened, shining brightly. "Hurry up and show me."
"But you have to promise to pay me back."
"You're really troublesome, making such a fuss over this little broken silver. Change it for me first and let's see if it's fun." The little girl giggled slyly and winked her eyes.
Yang Qiuchi turned sideways, avoiding the little girl's line of sight, and pulled out his miniature digital camera from his pocket. He set it to flash mode, covered it with both hands, leaving a small gap between his fingers, aimed at the little girl, and said with a smile: "Look at my lightning!"
With a flash of light, the girl let out a scream and turned pale, closing her eyes tightly and retreating several steps back, waving her hands wildly in front of her. The shop assistant was so scared that he sat on the ground with his hands covering his head.
They had never seen a flash, nor did they have the concept of electricity, except for lightning in the sky. They had never seen such bright light coming from human hands before, so they were all startled. Fortunately, there was no one in front of the pawnshop, so it didn't cause a sensation. Taking advantage of their momentary blindness, Yang Qiuchuan quickly put the miniature digital camera into his pocket.
The little girl closed her eyes and waved her hands wildly for a while, but didn't see anything else happen. She opened her eyes again, still looking at Yang Qiuchuan with fear, and asked after a long time: "What's going on? Can you release lightning? Is this some kind of magic or kung fu?"
Yang Qiuchi naturally wanted her to believe it was kung fu, but a master could tell with just one move whether she had any skills or not. If he thought she knew kung fu and tried to take advantage of her in the future, his moves would be ruthless and might even cost her her life. This bluff couldn't be called, so he smiled and said: "Of course it's a trick, if I really knew kung fu, would I let you bully me?"
The little girl nodded with a pleased expression: "You know that's good. Then quickly tell me how to play this trick?"
"Give me back my money and I'll tell you."
The little girl glared: "If you don't tell me, I'll poke you and make you unable to live or die!" After that, she raised two fingers in front of Yang Qiuchu and wiggled them back and forth.
Yang Qiuchi smiled slightly, clasped her hands together in front of her chest, and closed her eyes: "Then go ahead."
The little girl walked up to Yang Qiuchi, her hand making a pointing gesture as if she wanted to scold him. Yang Qiuchi didn't even lift an eyebrow, he understood that the little girl thought he was going to perform some magic trick, unaware that the flash of light came from the tiny digital camera in his pocket. She thought it was really magic, and teaching magic was different from snatching silver, this little girl was probably a young lady from a prominent family in the county town, although she had a big temper, but she wouldn't dare to force a grown man on the street, herself refusing to teach him, she couldn't do anything about it. Sure enough, the little girl raised her hand a few times, still unable to bring herself to scold him, she stomped her foot: "Alright, alright!" and pulled out an embroidered purse from her pocket, tossing it at Yang Qiuchi, "Take it, you cheapskate!"
Yang Qiuchi hastily caught it, and saw that the money bag was made of white satin with red silk thread woven into it, the workmanship was extremely fine, and a small "Song" character was embroidered on the satin surface. He brought it close to his nose and smelled it, and a faint fragrance wafted up, but he deliberately waved his hand in front of his nose and furrowed his brow.
The little girl's face turned red and her eyes were about to burst, but she thought for a moment and restrained herself.
